PISTON AND PLATE TRACTOR SAME DRAGO 120

Oil-immersed brake pistons are essential components of hydraulic braking systems used in some agricultural tractors. These pistons generally operate in a disc brake system immersed in an oil bath.

Here are some key features and points regarding wet brake pistons for tractors:

1. Operation: These pistons operate in a system where the brake discs are immersed in a liquid, usually oil. When braking force is applied, the fluid transmits that force to the pistons, which push the brake pads against the discs, generating the friction needed to slow or stop the tractor wheels.

2. Materials and design: Wet brake pistons are generally made from metal materials that are resistant to heat and corrosion. They are designed to operate efficiently in conditions where fluid cooling is essential to prevent brakes from overheating during heavy or prolonged use.

3. Maintenance: As with any brake system, pistons should be inspected regularly for wear, damage or any fluid leaks. Leaks or damage may compromise braking performance and require replacement or repair.

4. Replacement: If excessive wear, damage or operational problems occur, the brake pistons may need to be replaced. Proper replacement is essential to maintaining the braking performance and safety of the tractor.

Oil-immersed brake systems provide better heat dissipation compared to dry brake systems, making them suitable for conditions where frequent or heavy braking can overheat the brakes. Oil-immersed brake pistons are designed to withstand high temperatures and provide consistent braking performance under demanding conditions.

As always, following the tractor manufacturer's recommendations for maintenance and replacement of brake components is crucial to ensure optimal tractor operation and proper safety.
