HOW DO YOU INSTALL AN INTERNAL CIRCLIP?

An internal circlip must be installed using a suitable plier.

The prongs of the pliers are inserted into the two holes at the ends of the ring. When the pliers are squeezed, the diameter of the circlip decreases, allowing it to be inserted into the bore.

Before installation, carefully clean the groove to remove:

• old grease;

• dust;

• rust;

• metal shavings;

• residue from the previous installation.

After installation, check that the circlip is fully seated in the groove around its entire circumference.
