GEARBOX TRACTOR SAME FORTIS 160.4 INFINITY

A tractor's gearbox is an essential component of the transmission that allows engine speed and torque to be changed to suit traction and power requirements. It exists in different configurations to adapt to various applications.

Here are some common gearbox types for agricultural tractors:

1. Manual gearbox: It is controlled by the driver via a gear lever. It can have different configurations, such as synchronized or non-synchronized gear transmission.

2. Powershift Transmission: It offers multiple speeds without power interruption. It uses hydraulic clutches or friction clutches to change gears.

3. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT): It allows continuous variation of speed without fixed steps, providing a smoother range of gear ratios.

4. Semi-powershift transmission: Similar to a Powershift transmission but with the ability to change gears without disengaging.

The internal components may vary depending on the type of gearbox, but here are some common elements that can be found in a gearbox:

1. Gears: Gears are used to change the speed of rotation between the input shaft (coming from the motor) and the output shaft (leading to the transmission to the wheels).

2. Clutches: These allow different parts of the gearbox to be connected or disconnected to change gear ratios.

3. Driveshafts: They transmit power between the gears and are responsible for transmitting power from the engine to the wheels.

4. Differentials: They allow the wheels to rotate at different speeds while providing power to each of them.

5. Shift Controls: These are the mechanisms or controls used to change gear ratios, such as gear levers, hydraulic controls, etc.

6. Cooling and lubrication systems: They ensure that the internal components of the gearbox function properly and are protected against overheating and wear.

Each type of gearbox has its specific advantages in terms of efficiency, control and adaptability to various agricultural tasks. Regular maintenance, including changing oil, inspecting components for wear and replacing worn parts, is crucial to keeping the tractor gearbox functioning properly.
