SHIRT - PISTON - SEGMENT TRACTOR LANDINI 6830

Engine liners, pistons and rings are key components of an agricultural tractor engine, playing a crucial role in the combustion cycle and engine operation.

1. Cylinder Liner: It is installed inside the engine block and provides the smooth interior surface in which the piston moves. The liners can be made of cast iron, steel or aluminum. They are designed to resist wear from repetitive piston movements.

2. Pistons: These are moving components that move inside the cylinder liners. They receive the combustion force generated by the fuel and compressed air in the combustion chamber. Pistons are often made of aluminum alloys for their light weight and heat resistance.

3. Piston Rings: These are located around the piston to maintain sealing and control the flow of oil, fuel and combustion gases. The rings generally include compression rings, sealing rings and oil rings. They are made from wear-resistant and heat-resistant materials.

Some important points about these components:

- Sealing: Piston rings are crucial to ensure an optimal seal between the piston and cylinder liner, preventing combustion gas from escaping to the oil pan and ensuring effective compression.

- Cooling and lubrication: Pistons and liners must be properly lubricated to reduce friction and cooled to dissipate heat generated by combustion.

- Wear: Over time and use, these components can wear out. Excessive wear can lead to loss of compression, gas leaks, increased oil consumption and decreased engine performance.

- Maintenance: During engine overhauls, it is essential to check the condition of the liners, pistons and segments. Periodic replacement of piston rings may be necessary to maintain engine performance.

These components work closely together to ensure the proper functioning of an agricultural tractor's engine. Regular maintenance, periodic inspections and replacement of worn parts are essential to maintain optimal engine performance and extend its life.
