Frequently Asked Questions About LED Work Lights

LED Work Light for Tractors and Agricultural Machinery

TheLED work light for a tractor significantly improves visibility around the machine when working at night or in low-light conditions.

Camagris offers a selection ofLED agricultural lights and work lights designed for tractors, combine harvesters, forage harvesters, sprayers, loaders, telescopic handlers, and other agricultural equipment.

Our product line includes bothUniversal LED headlights which can be adapted to many machines, as well as models designed to directly replace certain original lights on John Deere tractors, Case IH, New Holland, Ford, Deutz-Fahr, Steyr, and other manufacturers.

How do you choose an LED work light for a tractor ?

There are several features to compare before ordering a new headlight:

• supply voltage: 12 V, 24 V, or 12/24 V compatible ;
• luminous power expressed in lumens ;
• beam type: wide or long-range ;
• the dimensions of the lighthouse ;
• the mounting system ;
• the type of electrical connection ;
• the water and dust resistance rating ;
• shape: square, rectangular, round, or oval ;
• surface-mounted or recessed installation ;
• the manufacturer's part number when replacing with an identical part.

When replacing an existing headlight, be sure to compare the dimensions, mounting locations, and connector of the old model.

How many lumens should you choose for an agricultural work light ?

Thelumens (lm) indicate the amount of light produced by the headlight.

The amount of light needed depends on the location of the floodlight and the work being done.

A compact headlight may be sufficient to illuminate the area near the machine, a step, a hitch, or the area around the cab.

For nighttime work that requires good visibility around the tractor or machine, ahigh-power LED work light allows you to illuminate a larger area.

Camagris offers different brightness levels so you can adjust the lighting to suit each use.

It is also possible to install multiple headlights to distribute light to the front, rear, and sides of the machine.

12 V or 24 V LED Headlight

Before installation, check the voltage used by your machine.

ManyLED agricultural work lights are compatible with 12/24 V, which allows them to be used on a wide range of tractors and agricultural equipment.

This versatility is particularly useful for equipping multiple machines with the same type of projector.

The acceptable voltage range is specified in the specifications for each product.

Wide beam or long-range beam ?

The choice of beam pattern directly affects how the light is distributed.

Awide-beam LED headlight illuminates a wide area around the tractor. It is particularly well-suited for monitoring a hitched implement, working around a machine, or improving visibility to the sides.

Along-range LED headlight further concentrates the beam to illuminate farther ahead of the machine.

On some tractors or self-propelled vehicles, it may be beneficial to combine the two technologies: wide-beam headlights for the immediate surroundings and long-range headlights to see farther ahead in the direction of travel.

LED work light with Deutsch connector

Several of our models are equipped with aDeutsch plug, which is frequently used on agricultural equipment.

This type of connector ensures a secure connection that is suitable for the harsh conditions encountered on farm machinery.

If your tractor already has the same connector, replacing a headlight can also be easier.

Before ordering, always check the shape of the connector and the pinout of your existing headlight.

Universal LED Headlights for Farm Equipment

TheUniversal LED Work Light is a simple solution for adding additional lighting to a machine.

In particular, it can be mounted on a tractor, a combine harvester, a loader, a trailer, a forage harvester, or many other types of equipment with a compatible power supply.

Camagris offers projectors in a variety of sizes to accommodate space constraints and the desired type of lighting.

In particular, you'll find compact, square, rectangular, and oval models, as well as built-in models and those equipped with swivel mounts.

LED Work Lights for John Deere

FindAdaptable LED headlights for John Deere tractors, including models designed to replace certain original equipment work lights.

For this type of product, check the OEM part number and the compatible tractor models listed on the product sheet.

Searching using the old John Deere part number is also an excellent way to identify the corresponding headlight.

LED work lights for Case IH and Steyr

Camagris also listsAdaptable LED work lights for tractors Case IH and Steyr.

These models allow you to maintain an installation that closely resembles the original setup while enjoying modern LED lighting.

Depending on the tractor series, several sizes and part numbers may have been used. Therefore, the tractor model and OEM part number must be verified before placing an order.

LED Headlights for New Holland and Ford

You can also find ourLED work lights for New Holland and Ford tractors.

Some part numbers may be shared by multiple models or brands within the same product family.

Check the OEM equivalents and compatibility information listed on each product page to select the right headlight.

LED Work Light for Deutz-Fahr

When replacing an existing projector, carefully compare its shape, dimensions, mounting hardware, and electrical connections.

Magnetic LED Headlight

Themagnetic LED work light is especially convenient when you need to be able to easily install or move additional lighting.

It can be used on an as-needed basis on various machines with a suitable metal surface.

This solution may be a good option for supplementing existing lighting without permanently installing a new floodlight in a single location.

Recessed LED Floodlight

Some agricultural equipment useswork lights built directly into the cab, roof, or body.

Camagris offers several models of recessed LED lights designed to replace or upgrade this type of lighting.

For built-in installation, the dimensions are particularly important. Check the width, height, available depth, and the location of the mounting points before ordering.

Work light with LED strobe

Some projectors combineWork light and orange strobe function.

These models make it possible to combine multiple functions into a single unit when a machine requires both area lighting and lighting signals appropriate for its intended use.

See the product specifications to learn about the different operating modes available.

Resistance to water, dust, and vibrations

A headlight mounted on a tractor or farm machine is exposed to dust, mud, splashing water, and vibrations.

TheIP index The rating indicated on certain models allows you to assess their level of protection against dust and water ingress.

For intensive agricultural use, choose a floodlight specifically designed for harsh environments, and always check the technical specifications listed on its product sheet.

Replacing an Old Halogen Headlight with an LED Headlight

Replacing an old projector with aLED work light is a common solution for improving a machine's lighting.

Before replacing it, however, check the voltage, dimensions, mounting hardware, and electrical connection.

For tractor-specific models, searching by original part number often allows you to find an LED headlight designed to directly replace the old one.

How do I find an LED headlight using its original part number ?

If the reference number of the old lighthouse is still visible, enter it directly into the Camagris search engine.

Our product pages can include severalOEM part numbers and manufacturer equivalents, which makes it possible to find a headlight using an old John Deere part number, Case IH, New Holland, Ford, Deutz-Fahr, Steyr, or another manufacturer.

This method is generally preferable to selecting based solely on the headlight's external appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions About LED Work Lights

What wattage should you choose for a tractor's LED headlight ?

Light output depends on the application. For spot lighting, a compact spotlight may be sufficient. To illuminate a large area during nighttime work, choose a model that delivers more lumens or use several lights spaced around the machine.

What is the difference between watts and lumens ?

Watts indicate the electrical power consumed by the headlight, while lumens measure the amount of light produced. Lumens are therefore a particularly useful measure for comparing the brightness of two LED headlights.

Can a 12/24 V LED headlight be installed on a tractor ?

Yes, when a headlight is specified as compatible with 12/24 V, it can operate on electrical systems within the voltage range specified by the manufacturer.

How do you choose between a wide beam and a long-range beam ?

The wide beam is suitable for illuminating a large area near the tractor. The long-range beam concentrates the light more to illuminate further ahead of the machine.

How do I find an LED headlight that's compatible with my tractor ?

First, look for the OEM part number printed on the old headlight. Then check the tractor's make and model, dimensions, mounting hardware, voltage, and connector type.
