Michel" Decompactor Tooth: Efficiency and Versatility for All Soil Types

Decompacting tools play a crucial role in optimizing agricultural soils, in particular to improve soil structure, water infiltration and root aeration. Among the different types of tines used for these operations, the "Michel" decompactor tine stands out for its efficiency and versatility.

What is a "Michel" decompactor tooth?

The " Michel" type oblique tine is designed to lift soil and break up the horizon with remarkable efficiency. Thanks to its oblique, curved shape, this tine combines vertical and horizontal actions, enabling it to work at depth while limiting the risk of under-building blockages. The result is fragmented, decompacted soil, ideal for cultivation.

Tine spacing under the frame contributes to the tool's performance by reducing the risk of blockages. For uniform working across the entire width, we recommend maintaining a spacing of between 40 and 60 cm between tines. This type of tine is suitable for all types of soil, making it a highly versatile choice.

Advantages of the "Michel" type tine

1. Working efficiency: Thanks to its combined vertical and horizontal action, the "Michel" tine effectively lifts and breaks up the soil, helping crops to take root and water to infiltrate.

2. Adaptability: This type of tine adapts to all types of soil, whether compact or lighter, thanks to its versatile design. This makes it an ideal choice for a variety of farming operations.

3. Reduced blockage: The under-built tine spacing reduces the risk of blockage, optimizing work even in the most difficult conditions. However, to ensure efficient working across the entire width, an appropriate tine spacing is required.

4. Working surface: The passage of the oblique tines leaves an irregular surface with ridges. After decompacting, it may be necessary to re-compact the surface to obtain a level surface.

The different types of "Michel" tines

There are two main types of "Michel" decompactor tines, adapted to different needs depending on working depth and soil conditions.

1. Michel 800 mm, 80 mm center distance

   • Michel Blade Right 800 x 15 mm
   • Michel Blade Left 800 x 15 mm

This type of blade, with a length of 800 mm, enables deep work on more compact soils. The 80 mm mounting center distance guarantees solid, durable installation.

2. Small Michel Blade 600 mm, Centre distance 85 mm

   • Blade Michel Right 600 x 12 mm
   • Lame Michel Left 600 x 12 mm

The small 600 mm blade is ideal for lighter, more surface-oriented work. Its 85 mm center-to-center distance makes it quick and easy to install on a wide range of machines.

Michel" tine shares

Plowshares are also an important element to consider to ensure good soil penetration and optimize decompaction work. Here are the corresponding shares for each type of Michel blade:

• Plowshare for Blade 800 x 15 mm: Michel Blade Plowshare 800 x 15 mm
• Coulter for Blade 600 x 12 mm: Coulter for Lame Michel 600 x 12 mm

Plowshares are specially designed to optimize blade penetration into the soil, improving overall decompaction efficiency.
