BRAKE LINING TRACTOR CASE D430

Brake disc linings and brake shoes are key components of agricultural tractor braking systems, used to create the friction needed to slow or stop the tractor.

- Brake disc linings: These linings are usually made from high friction semi-metallic or composite materials. They are designed to attach to brake plates or calipers and rub against the brake rotor when activated. This generates the friction necessary to slow or stop the movement of the tractor. Brake disc linings must resist wear from repeated friction against the disc and must maintain consistent performance even in harsh conditions.

- Brake shoes: Unlike brake discs, brake shoes are used in drum brakes. They are fixed inside the brake drum and are activated by the hydraulic or mechanical system when force is applied. The shoes rub against the inner surface of the brake drum to create the friction necessary to slow or stop the tractor. They are also made from high-friction materials, often with coatings to resist wear from repeated contact with the drum.

Regular maintenance of these components is crucial to ensure efficient operation of the braking system:

- Regular inspection for wear, cracks or any signs of degradation is necessary.
- Replacement of worn or damaged brake disc linings or brake shoes is recommended to ensure optimal braking performance and ensure safety during use of the agricultural tractor.

It is also important to follow the tractor manufacturer's recommendations regarding maintenance and periodic replacement of these components to ensure reliable and safe braking of the tractor.
